I am working on my ARP etc. and am trying to put together my surveys. I have sent out my permission forms, so hopefully I will get those back this week. Reading the dissertations has really helped me see that our ARP is like a light version of a dissertation. The readings this week were very helpful. The chapters on collecting data were instrumental in designing the surveys and developing interview questions. The chapters on Analysis were helpful in understanding the inferential statistics that will connect our data to our interpretation of the results.
I feel fortunate that I am studying teachers. The roll out of phase 2 in our classrooms has left me with even more questions. Ambiguity is the enemy of clarity. I have to finish our Read Aloud before we get the new crop of kids, and finish their report cards, which means I have to pick up my pacing, so I can finish Unit 1 of Bridges. This was slow getting started because the Bridges Materials did not arrive until 2 weeks ago!
Now back to the library. I may never emerge. Send in a search party if you do not hear from me again.
