As for a larger research agenda, I realize that one of the questions that I had hoped to answer that I did not articulate is how do we get more teachers to participate in professional development. I think that many teachers are working at capacity and the only way to motivate them is to give them tools that will immediately lessen their workload.
My next steps might include further brainstorming with the leaders of the COP. I have always found my interactions with the other NapaLearns fellows very helpful. I think that the pandemic caused teachers to spread themselves too thin to try to learn too many apps. It is now a time to curate the most effective apps and practices going forward. That is why I think that we need tools for coming together as teachers for NVUSD. Seeking out all the possibilities is time-consuming. That is why connecting within a Facebook Group limited to NVUSD Educators that focuses on the district curriculum would allow us to get to know one another and work smarter not harder.
As soon as I am finished with my paper, I plan to share it with all the teachers that participated in my study. I am looking forward to their input. Hopefully, I will be able to do that before I turn in my paper to our illustrious teachers.
