Check out the mystery science video at the link above to see another topical lesson that answers a question posed by a student. This would be a great intro to a discussion about current events.

Use the link above to get to an EduProtocols Lesson about Sentence Parts. This is a model of a lesson that you can use many times during the course of the year. The purpose of this lesson is to teach how to write a sentence. You will know that students are learning by evaluating the template that they fill in. This lesson is different from traditional learning in that it can be done "virtually". I am planning on using this lesson.

Use this link to get to the original video that I used for my presentation. Rushton Hurley's recording of an episode from "Across Grade Levels:Fake News". He presents three lessons. One lesson for the littles, which I will use to teach perspective. One lesson for middle schoolers that I will simplify to teach my 4th graders to ask the questions that will help them spot fake news and one lesson to teach to high school students that I will not be teaching to 4th grade but I included for my colleagues that teach high school students.
