Marie’s audience was comprised of teachers and Master’s students that wanted to know more about how diversifying technology impacted the engagement and quality of teaching. Each of her pages was effective in their presentation of Marie’s journey through the program. She was able to take the visitor to her website on a clearly demarcated path that elucidated her philosophy of teaching and referenced the resources she investigated. Each page had visuals, links, and data that connected the audience to her project.
Having explored Marie’s capstone website as well as others, it is my intention to target my capstone website to district leaders that are determining the best way to deliver professional development. Teachers have limited time and resources, so it is of paramount importance to target professional development that is efficacious. According to John Hattie, it is Teacher efficacy that has the greatest impact on student achievement. Student learning is and will always be the driving force behind teacher development.
